The Gabelli Woodland Small Cap Value Fund |
The Gabelli Woodland Small Cap Value Fund is a non-diversified, registered investment
company, which invests primarily in smaller capitalization companies (not greater
than that of the largest company in the Russell 2000® Index or $3.0 billion, whichever
is greater), which the portfolio manager feels are undervalued in the marketplace.
We focus on analyzing and determining the value of companies, the quality and position
of the business, management’s capability in growing those businesses, and the alignment
of its compensation with growing shareholder value.
The portfolio manager utilizes a sell discipline pursuant to which it will:
- Sell a position when the price of the stock exceeds the company's per share
intrinsic value.
- Sell a position when there is diminished confidence that management will be
able to execute its strategy.

The fund typically invests in 40-60 companies. By concentrating in a small
number of investments, the Fund's risks are increased because each investment has a
greater effect on the Fund's performance than a Fund which is more broadly diversified.
Securities of smaller companies present greater risks than securities of larger, more
established companies. The stocks of smaller companies may trade less frequently and
experience more abrupt price movements than stocks of larger companies, therefore,
investing in this sector involves special challenges.
The Fund's share price will fluctuate with changes in the market value of the Fund's
portfolio securities. Stocks are subject to market, economic and business risks that
cause their prices to fluctuate. When you sell Fund shares, they may be worth less
than what you paid for them. Consequently, you can lose money by investing in the Fund.
Investors should consider the investment objectives, risks, sales charges and expense
of the fund carefully before investing. The prospectus contains more complete information
about this and other matters.
