The Gabelli Global Deal Fund |
| The Gabelli Global Deal Fund is a closed-end,
non-diversified management investment company whose investment objective
is to achieve absolute returns in various market conditions without
excessive risk of capital. Absolute returns are defined as positive total
returns, regardless of the direction of securities markets. To achieve its
investment objective, the Fund, under normal market conditions, will invest
primarily in securities of companies (both domestic and foreign) involved
in publicly announced mergers, takeovers, tender offers and leveraged
buyouts and, to a lesser extent, in corporate reorganizations involving
stubs, spin-offs and liquidations. |
Shares are listed on the NYSE under symbol GDL. Closed-end funds are not FDIC-insured, nor
bank-guaranteed and may lose value. There can be no assurance that any closed-end fund will
achieve its investment objective(s). The value of any closed-end fund will fluctuate with
the value of the underlying securities. Closed end Funds have specific risks including market
risks, interest rate risks and liquidity risks. Investors should consider the investment
objectives, risks and expense of the fund before investing. Please contact your financial
advisor to purchase shares. This is not intended as an advertisement or an invitation to buy,
or an offer to sell, securities.
