Fund Overview for Gabelli Enterprise M&A AAA

Objective

The Gabelli Enterprise Mergers & Acquisitions Fund seeks to provide capital appreciation.

The Fund invests primarily in equity securities of companies believed to be likely acquisition targets within 12 to 18 months. The Fund also may engage in arbitrage transactions by investing in the equity securities of companies that are involved in publicly announced mergers, takeovers, tender offers, leveraged buyouts, spin-offs, liquidations and other corporate reorganizations. The Fund may hold a significant portion of its assets in cash in anticipation of arbitrage opportunities.

The Fund may appeal to you if:
  • you are a long-term investor
  • you seek both growth of capital and some income
  • you believe that the market will favor value over growth stocks over the long term
  • you wish to include a value strategy

Investing in foreign securities involves risks not ordinarily associated with investment in domestic issues including currency fluctuations, economic and political risks. The Fund may invest in small and mid capitalization securities.
