Gabelli Enterprise Mergers and Acquisitions Fund - Objective

The Fund invests primarily in equity securities of companies believed to be likely acquisition targets within 12 to 18 months. The Fund also may engage in arbitrage transactions by investing in the equity securities of companies that are involved in publicly announced mergers, takeovers, tender offers, leveraged buyouts, spin-offs, liquidations and other corporate reorganizations. The Adviser seeks to limit excessive risk of capital loss by utilizing various investment strategies including investing in value oriented equity securities that should trade at a significant discount to the Adviser's assessment of their "private market value." Private market value is the value that informed investors would be willing to pay to acquire the entire company.

The Fund's share price will fluctuate with changes in the market value of the Fund's portfolio securities. Stocks are subject to market, economic and business risks that cause their prices to fluctuate. When you sell Fund shares, they may be worth less than what you paid for them. Consequently, you can lose money by investing in the Fund.

Investors should consider the investment objectives, risks, sales charges and expense of the fund carefully before investing. The prospectus contains more complete information about this and other matters. The prospectus should be read carefully before investing.
